Isn’t higher customer satisfaction why people buy Mac computers these days, despite fewer apps?If this were 2005, yeah. I think more people are driven to buy macs due to the other ecosystems that have been invested in apple. It makes sense to have hardware cohesion versus merely saying customer satisfaction. because frankly, not everyone is/has been satisfied with apple.
It can also be due to a counterculture initiative (especially so for the mac v pc ads that ran in 2008-2009) that also contributes to mac sales. Third, general frustration with the Windows product can drive sales of the macbook pro, as well as misunderstanding how to use the computer (e.g. macs never get viruses, which we all know isn’t true)
The screen resolution story is a bogus differentiator for people just looking for things to blame. Are you forgetting the 320×480 iPhone 3GS is still outselling the vast majority of WVGA and HD Android handsets.
I suppose that has nothing to do with the fact that it is free and offers a pretty decent experience over Android devices? Also in America, Apple is still by and large very popular. In addition, extension of that popularity to practically every single network? It’s almost a no duh. But the reasons listed aren’t necessarily derived from screen resolution or customer satisfaction…

"Microsoft developer evangelists Michael Kordahi and Andrew Coates took to a podcast to discuss the designs, with chassis 1 being a "big touchsceen" phone, with a 1GHz processor and dedicated graphics processor. They confirmed this will be the style of handset that will launch at the end of the year.
Chassis designs 2 and 3 were a bit more vague, with 2 packing touchscreens and full slide-out QWERTY keyboards and 3 perhaps being a candy bar phone design."
Unless front facing qwerty's will be available under chassis 3, again the screen resolution spec would make a front facing keyboard very awkward.. and 800×480 screen with a keyboard on the bottom? lol
