The Motorola Backflip, AT&T's first Android phone, is getting mixed reviews by customers. Introduced in early 2010, the Backflip received its name because of the unique design: instead of the keyboard sliding forward, it flips back so it can actually rest on a table like a mini computer. It features a 3 inch touchscreen, as well as a camera with a flash.
Social Networking on a Cell PhoneThe Backflip is geared towards social networking buffs, as users can sync with Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace from their home screen. A user's contacts can automatically be updated from social networking sites, including their friend's email addresses and pictures. The phone has full HTML web browsing, and the layout of texts looks like instant messaging.
A Unique Feature of the Motorola BackflipA fairly new feature for cell phones, which the Backflip possesses, is the ability to have multiple windows open at the same time and switch between them. Cell phone companies are calling this "multi-tasking." Users have said they enjoy this feature because it feels more like they are using their computer at home. Combined with the Backflip's tabletop keyboard, the phone really does resemble a small computer.
