Motorola Defy Mini review
31.12.69
The Motorola Defy Mini looks unsurprisingly like a scaled down version of the Defy+, featuring the same dull black plastic case and large chin towards the bottom of the phone. It might look drab but it sure is functional, as the phone's ports and slots come plugged with plastic covers, which promises to save the phone from damage if dropped in water or dirt, for example. As practical as they are, these covers did little to help the phone's aesthetics as they noticeably stick out of the handset and offer little protection if the ports are in use.
The back of the phone is home to a rugged plastic cover, which thanks to its rubber-like texture should protect the Defy Mini from scratches. The front of the phone should stay smooth too, thanks to the screen's Gorilla Glass coating. The screen is supposedly resistant to water also, but we found it completely unusable until the phone was dry again.
Still, in terms of size the phone lives up to its name, measuring 109x58.5x12.6mm with a pocket friendly weight of 107g.
