Nokia Lumia 800 still selling greatly, in some places at least
The Nokia Q4 report will be one of the most interesting things to look forward to at the start of next year. The company took a huge gamble by betting on Windows Phone for their smartphone portfolio and the holiday season sales should show if it will pay off.
And even though the quarter that saw the market release of Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 is nearing its end it's still really hard to tell if they are being well received by the market or not. We are getting all kinds of reports about their sales, so we are not even sure what to expect in the end.
For example, according to the survey done by mobile comparison shopping site MobilesPlease, the Lumia 800 accounted for a mere 0.17% of the UK smartphone sales in November. That's close to 100 less than the market share of the most popular phone according to the survey - Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II.
However, in the Lumia 800 appears to still be doing greatly in the Netherlands. The smartphone was the second best-selling device on KPN Netherlands (the country's largest carrier) at the end of November, than rose to first place at the start of this month and has been staying there ever since.

We do know that the Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 has already been announced some tıme ago, and here we have news that said smartphone will be arriving on UK shores in the near future, perhaps as soon as next month.
Of course, this news comes about thanks to British retailer Clove, who claims Samsung will start shipping the new Galaxy in mid or late March. Needless to say, when you are faced with such a new handset, it is a no brainer that you will have to fork out top dollar for it – in this case, we are looking at the 16GB version going for £510 (€596) without VAT, or for £612 (€715) with VAT.
Of course, if you decide to rock on to the 32GB version, that is going to burn another relatively large hole in your pocket at £590 (€690) without VAT, and £708 (€828) with.
Expect these prices to change though the closer it gets to the release date, and there is a pretty good chance that you will pay less eventually if you decide for it to arrive without having to place a pre-order. There is always a price for everything, and in this case, the early adopter method wıll definitely cost you and then some.
