What Microsoft Outlook PC version needed to sync with HP iPAQ 211?
Apr 20, 2009 by Kathy | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I just bought an HP iPAQ 211. The setup program enables me to sync documents with my personal pc, but I can't sync any calender events because I don't have Outlook. It seems that the iPAQ is still using Outlook 2002. Is this correct?
Any version of OUTLOOK should work. I have used OUTLOOK 2000 for years and now I use 2007. Works great.
Hope that helps.

The HP210 / 211 / 212 / 214 could have been a really great product. (They’re all the same product: the different numbers indicate the channel and the country, 210 U.S. – Consumer 214 – Asia, etc), but has some shortcomings, in my opinion, reduce it to an average product that should be carefully considered.
Firstly, I am a big fan of PDAs and so-called smart phones and have been using for years. Nobody is perfect. In fact, most far from perfect. In recent years, the smartphone category, the combination cell phone, PDA and a camera, has been so successful. The independent PDA is probably an endangered species and the HP211 could be the last of its kind. The appearance of the mini-laptop that Eee and Fujitsu U810 may actually be the final nail in the coffin of the independent PDA which I think would be a shame.
, HP made a lot of things with the HP211.
The screen is absolutely gorgeous. Photos and videos of glowing in all its glory. Blaze of screen space has not been a problem. I have not tested it in direct sunlight, but it keeps well in daylight. The touch screen requires a fairly strong, but it is something you get used to it pretty quickly. Scrolling, however, seems to Internet Explorer difficult. You have to apply firm pressure to the device can be interpreted as repeated taps. Something that makes navigation in Internet Explorer harder than it should.
